Our Story

Through their work in GPU/CPUs, cryptocurrencies, blockchain and international investments, Theo, Donatas and Mario – our co-founders – realized that the burgeoning new wave of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Large Language Models, would need an infrastructure to support todays and tomorrow’s high performance computing (HPC) needs.

Existing data center solutions are not meeting the supercomputing power needed to support high performance processing. This includes areas such as lag in computing response time due to the far off location of the data center and high rental costs within a structure controlled by others. Even if a business had the means to build their own data center, the time to market could take years to procure the land and building permits – a venture that may be outdated before becoming operational at a significant cost.

The three co-founders came together in 2021 to form ECOBLOX to shape the future of supercomputing with a focused mission: To design, build and support modular data centers (MDCs) that offer businesses, governments, and AI Infrastructure Investment Firms an affordable, flexible, energy-efficient and sustainable solution. Due to their expertise in optimizing data center’s energy efficiency, ECOBLOX also supports retrofitting in-building AI/HPC data centers with its proprietary optimization software, efficient design capabilities and ongoing support.

ECOBLOX’s success is based on providing businesses with not only access to the latest GPUs, but also the most innovative system integration (GPU cluster design, installation and optimization) coupled with AI/HPC data center software stacks, including ECOBLOX’s DCIM and HPC/GPUaaS software stack that power traditional and modular data centers (MDCs).
